Maybe it’s time for a fresh mission statement. As a suggestion, how about this?

“We are the Fellowship of the Ark”

We are committed to creating, nurturing and serving communities of believers who are preparing for the time of global great distress, while growing increasingly wise to what the Bible teaches regarding the age to come. Only by accurately interpreting Bible prophecy, abandoning this world’s enticements, encouraging total surrender and sharing the gospel of salvation with little thought to personal safety or comfort will we be able to stand before King Jesus, along with all the saints who’ve passed their love and loyalty test.”

One of the charter brothers in the Fellowship of the Ark, Lot, suggested a “Mission Scripture” from Psalm 33:

“No king is saved by the size of his army; no warrior escapes by his great strength. A horse is a vain hope for deliverance; despite all its great strength it cannot save. But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love, to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine.

“We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD, even as we put our hope in you.” (Psalm 33:16-22 NIV)

What do you think? Does this sound like a fellowship that’s for you as well as those you love? J
